Our efforts towards sustainability
When we first started working in the fashion industry, we quickly realized how damaging it is to our environment. We decided to study and learn more about how the industry operates and how things are generated and disposed of. Since then, we've made it a goal to be as sustainable as possible in our brand.


Fabrics
Our outfits are made from fabrics that are all sustainable in some manner, shape, or form. An explanation of the various types of fabric we use can be seen below. In addition, as we have zero-waste designers, we repurpose all scraps from the outfits we make.


Deadstock Fabrics
Typically, these materials are leftovers from textile factories or designers. They are frequently discarded because the designer did not want them or because there was an excess. Fabscrap and Fabcycle are two places where we get deadstock fabrics.


Natural Fiber Fabrics
Natural fibres such as cotton, bamboo, and hemp are used to make these fabrics. Because they're comprised of natural fibres, these fabrics will biodegrade organically if they're thrown away. Furthermore, these fabrics are usually dyed with non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes. These materials reduce the use of synthetic fabrics, which release microplastics into the environment. Blackbird Fabrics and Nature's Fabrics are two places where we get natural fibre fabrics.


Thrifted Fabrics
Thrifted fabrics, like deadstock fabrics, are undesirable leftovers from many sources. Because these are second-hand textiles, they usually come in smaller quantities. A Thrifty Notion and Revival Fabrics are two places where we get thrifted fabrics.


Remnants
Deadstock fabrics are comparable to remnants; however, remnants are the tiny pieces of fabric left on the bolts at fabric stores. They're generally under 2 yards and most of the time under one yard, and they're usually on sale. If these pieces of fabric don't sell, they'll usually be thrown out, so we take it upon ourselves to buy as many as we can to reduce waste. The neighbourhood fabric store is one of the places where we get remnants.


Shipping
When it comes to shipping, it's critical to maintain things as sustainable as possible. As a result, EcoEnclose, a sustainable packaging company, provided all of the packagings.


Shipping Materials
The poly mailers used to transport orders are constructed with 100% recycled content and 50% post-consumer waste, and they contain a dual adhesive strip for reuse. The tissue paper used to wrap products is entirely constructed of post-consumer and post-industrial waste, making it both recyclable and biodegradable. The tissue paper closure stickers and the "Thank you" card includewith each order are made entirely of post-consumer paper.


Carbon-Neutral Shipping
Shipping items around the world is not the most environmentally friendly option due to the carbon emissions produced. However, at checkout, we provide our customers with the posibility of neutralising their carbon emissions. Cloverly, a startup that calculates carbon footprints and matches them with offset projects collaborated with us.
